9 and a half weeks...

Nope..not the movie.

Day 2 of training.

Taking it easy at the outset. No need to cause any undue stress on my body parts right off. Am starting with about an hour of stretching and strength training per day, and about a half-hour of hiking around the neighborhood with about half my pack weight (25 pounds.) The start of my walks are a little taxing but I adjust after ten minutes or so - Will gradually increase my pack weight and distance and will hopefully be up to my full pack weight of 40 pounds by Feb 15, with 5-10 mile hikes 3 times a week by the time I leave around March 10 for Georgia.
